Against The Spread Pick – LA Wildcats  -7.0

The L.A. Wildcats are hoping to have their first winning streak of their XFL existence as they hit the road to take on the New York Guardians. The Wildcats offense pulled off one of the biggest upsets so far in the new league as they destroyed Cardale Jones and the DC Defenders last Sunday. Jones ran into a brick wall in the Wildcats defense having put up a gaudy 500 total passing yards, four touchdowns and one interception in the first two weeks. Los Angeles picked off Jones four times in the blowout win and that aggressive defense will now take on the Guardians. New York are coming off a blow-out loss to the St. Louis Battlehawks and the offense is still one of the worst in the league. Even though the Guardians won in week one, the offense has not delivered at all. New York’s only second-half touchdown came on a scoop and score, and they totaled just 226 yards of total offense, with just 2.8 yards-per-carry on the ground. I do not trust this New York offense at all and will ride this Wildcats train until it stops. Back the WILDCATS to get the job done here

Over/Under Pick – UNDER 39.0 Game Totals

It has been announced that wide receiver Nelson Spruce is OUT for this matchup and without a doubt the Wildcats’ most explosive offensive player will be hugely missed. Spruce has been one of the hottest receivers in the league catching 20 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns. Without Spruce, Los Angeles will struggle a bit on the offensive side, a felling that is all too familiar to New York. This might be the game the Wildcats find their running game finally, especially if Hood can suit up for the game. Give me the under as this game screams slow and controlled for the Wildcats win Take the UNDER.

SEATTLE DRAGONS @ STL BATTLEHAWKS BEST BETS,

  • STL Battlehawks -12.0 Point Spread  @ -105
  • OVER 39.0 Game Totals @

Why it wins >>

Against The Spread Pick – STL Battlehawks -12.0

The Battlehawks are transformed and are double-digit favorites for the second time this season as they head into week four. St. Louis has been living off the ground game so far this season and Matt Jones is currently the XFL’s rushing leading after three weeks with 224 yards. With a powerful running game, it has been easy work for QB Jordan Ta’amu to settle in the pocket and he is second in the XFL with 612 passing yards. It’s really hard to shy away from the Battlehawks at the moment. They have dropped at least 24 points in back-to-back weeks, while the Dragons are averaging 16 points per game. This is the largest spread in XFL history (admittedly not a huge span of time) and why not, especially with nearly 25,000 screaming STL fans in the stands again. I’m not sure the Dragons can keep pace with the “underdog” Battlehawks in this one even with 12 points. It’s a small lean, but If I’m putting money on this ATS pick, it has to be with the Hawks.

Over/Under Pick – OVER 39.0 Game Totals

It’s hard to back a team that fails to deliver in the fourth quarter as the Dragons currently fall in that role. Looking back in their week three loss to the Dallas Renegades, they actually led 12-6 heading into halftime but got outscored 18-0 after the start of the 3rd quarter. I expect the same scenario here with the Dragons staying toe to toe with the Battlehawks in the 1st half and producing a good amount of points. However, the second half is when St. Louis will run away with the game and the spread. Give me the Over here as Seattle does just enough in the 1st half to help this over hit. Take the OVER.
